White Castle Sets Sights on Texas With First Dallas-Fort Worth Location

An iconic Midwest brand heads south

A fast-food favorite from the Midwest is finally making its way to Texas. White Castle, the legendary chain famous for its square sliders and late-night cravings, is reportedly opening its first location in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro, according to the Dallas Morning News.

More than 100 years of history

Founded in Ohio in 1921, White Castle has spent over a century perfecting its bite-size cheeseburgers, topped with steam-grilled onions and served with signature crinkle-cut fries. The chain is widely considered America’s first fast-food hamburger restaurant and has since grown to dozens of locations across the country.

Pop culture fame

Beyond its cult following, White Castle has cemented its place in pop culture as the ultimate destination in the 2004 comedy Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle. The film introduced a new generation to the chain’s craveable sliders and further boosted its reputation as a late-night food icon.

Texas joins the crave

While an opening date has yet to be announced, excitement is already brewing among Texans eager to experience White Castle in person for the first time. With its Dallas-Fort Worth debut, the chain is set to bring its century-old tradition of affordable, indulgent eats to a whole new audience in the Lone Star State.
