In the heart of the Lone Star State, where grit meets generosity and success is measured as much by community impact as by profit margins, you’ll find Larry Puckett—a name that resonates far beyond Texas’ borders. A world-renowned venture capitalist, serial entrepreneur, and family man, Puckett’s journey is the epitome of American reinvention. From growing up with humble beginnings to building multi-million dollar companies across finance, technology, distribution, and now wellness, Larry Puckett has never lost sight of what matters most: people, values, and Texas.
“We love Texas. It aligns with us both politically and culturally. We enjoy the climate, and the people here are some of the friendliest you’ll find anywhere,” Puckett says with a smile. “Texas is very supportive of entrepreneurs… When we take stock of our values and think about the kind of environment we want for our family, Texas is the obvious choice for us.”
Family is a central pillar in Puckett’s life. That commitment recently took physical form when he purchased Fair Winds Ranch in East Texas—a long-awaited dream come true. “We bought a ranch in East Texas after searching for about five years. We were looking for rolling hills, ponds, creeks, good soil, and a square piece of land large enough for our kids and grandkids to come together with us,” he shares. “Earlier this year, we finally found that perfect spot. It’s everything we’ve ever wanted.”
The move, Puckett says, was smoother than expected thanks to a stellar relocation company. Now, the family is in full renovation mode—revamping the home for his son and grandkids, with outdoor upgrades next on the list. “Everything is coming along well, and it’s exciting to see our vision for Fair Winds Ranch coming together.”

But don’t mistake this for retirement. Puckett’s drive remains as fiery as ever. His latest venture, Theon Global, is already making waves in the world of health and wellness. A premium supplement company dedicated to natural, science-backed products, Theon Global blends Larry’s business acumen with a mission to improve lives from the inside out. While many entrepreneurs chase the next hot market, Larry is investing in what he calls “repeatable, scalable, integrity-driven success”—and he’s doing it right here in Texas.
“It’s more than just important—it’s vital. Those of us who are fortunate enough to make a difference in this great state have a responsibility to give back,” Puckett says. “Supporting Texas strengthens our communities and helps keep our state attractive to talented people and businesses.”
That mindset has shaped not only his business moves but also how he hires, leads, and supports others. Theon Global is proudly Texas-rooted, with a focus on local hiring, partnerships, and expansion. Larry’s goal? To scale with intention, without compromising on people or principles. “Professionally, our goal is to scale. Every day, we strive to improve—bettering our people and our processes. If we always do the right thing, I believe success will follow.”
While the business world continues to chase buzzwords and quick wins, Puckett’s approach is refreshingly grounded. His long view of success is influenced as much by stewardship as strategy. “Personally, I want to be a good steward of everything I’ve been blessed with. Being a good husband, father, and grandfather matters more to me than anything else.”
True to his boots-on-the-ground nature, Larry also keeps a close eye on economic trends across Texas. “I’m seeing tremendous business growth. Texas is expected to maintain strong economic expansion… Job creation is robust, with over 187,000 jobs added from January 2024 to January 2025, and this year is set to exceed that,” he notes. “A lot of people have been moving to Texas, and lately, we’re seeing even more newcomers who share Texas values.”
But it’s not all business for this East Texas entrepreneur. Puckett’s love for local flavor—both culinary and cultural—is evident. Ask him where he goes for a good meal, and he doesn’t hesitate. “JW’s in Jacksonville, TX, is my go-to for barbecue. In my opinion, it’s the best BBQ on the planet.” And when it comes to Tex-Mex? “Xalisco in The Woodlands gets my vote.”
He’s also a big fan of the Texas sports scene, with a grin when asked about predictions. “It’s not exactly a prediction, but wouldn’t an all-Texas Super Bowl be amazing?” For someone who has built businesses like game-winning drives, it’s no surprise he’s thinking big.

Whether he’s walking the hills of Fair Winds Ranch, leading his team at Theon Global, attending Hollywood galas during the Academy Awards or cheering on Texas football, Larry Puckett is a man who embodies the spirit of the state: strong, generous, driven, and deeply rooted in family. In an age where many build for self, Puckett builds for legacy. He’s not just living the Texas dream—he’s making sure it’s one others can share in, too.
